The Most Unforgettable Experience Of My School Life
Now I’m fifteen years old, and I have been studying in Sacred Heart for more than five years. There were many interesting activities that I have attended at school, for example, Sports Day, Lily Procession, The Golden Melody Award, Volleyball Game, and Chinese Speech Contest to name but a few. But I think “Charity Bazaar” was the most unforgettable experience of my school life.
Charity Bazaar is held in October ever year. Our school helped different charities each year and this year we were helping a nursing home for the elders located in Bali. The purpose of this activity was to call on everyone to donate money for the organization so that it could have newer supplies. On that day, each class was making every effort to help raise money. This year, our class was selling pancakes, marshmallows and some other delicious dishes. I still remember on that day, everyone arrived at school early and started to prepare the food for the customers. Some classmates were decorating our stand, others were cooking food, and still others were helping setting up tables.
When “Charity Bazaar” started, lots of people came to our stand, so every classmate worked hard enough to sell as much food as they can. After a long day, each one of us was really tired, but we still wore a happy smile on the face. Because we knew that we did a great job in God’s name. In this activity, I learned how to team up with each other in class and this was the most important thing that our school wanted us to learn. Also, I experienced that helping people was a fantastic thing in my life. I think, I’ll keep doing these things in the future and tell everyone “Whoever is in need, we will care for them, because we’re in the family of God.”
